ECO-DESIGN
Constant
research encourages innovation in materials, manufacturing processes, and
design concepts. This leads to the development of new technologies and
solutions that benefit both the environment and society. With these premisses
in mind we label as “BORN-ECO” all products that are resource efficient and
prioritize sustainability.
Reducing
impact on the environment: BORN-ECO products are designed to minimize
waste production generated in the production process, which, are reintegrated
and leading to a reduction in the use of natural resources up to 55%.
- Products with lower thickness, which allows a reduction in the consumption of raw materials and, consequently, inherent emissions to the process by its consumption and processing.
- High efficiency equipment allowing energy recovery in the production process such as hot air from the kilns and combustion gases for heat.
- The installation of photovoltaic plants in our production units leads to a consumption of clean energy and a significant reduction of the amount of CO2 emitted by reducing the energy needs of the public network.
- Reduction of clean water consumption through recirculation of treated residual water, which consequently reduces discharges into the water domain.
